Apple Inc.’ device management company Mosyle Corp. acquired Assetbots LLC, an asset management software company for an undisclosed sum.

Assetbots, a 2021 startup, provides asset management software that makes it easier to track and manage assets in a variety of sectors. Without the need to install any extra hardware, the company’s platform seeks to solve typical problems including lost assets, neglected maintenance, and inventory discrepancies.

The Assetbots platform includes an interface that facilitates fast asset searches, the generation of custom fields, and the effective use of keyboard shortcuts. It supports tracking a wide range of assets, including inventory, tools, and equipment. In addition, the system tracks asset utilization and offers comprehensive maintenance and repair tracking. The platform facilitates quick check-in and check-out procedures by supporting barcode and QR code scanning.

With its flexible design, Assetbots operates on laptops, tablets, and smartphones and offers analytics and reporting features that let users export data in CSV or Excel formats for additional analysis. The platform features role-based access controls, offline functionality, and integrations with solutions like Google Workspace and Active Directory.

Post acquisition, Chad Burggraf, Assetbots’ Founder, will lead the independent business. Mosyle will assist and provide the necessary resources to develop Assetbots into a preeminent asset management solution for small and medium-sized businesses and educational institutions.

Through two-way synchronizing for devices, users, and assignments, Mosyle customers will be able to level Assetbots and save a substantial amount of setting and maintenance effort. When subscribing to Assetbots, Mosyle customers may also take advantage of exclusive business benefits, making it a more affordable option than those offered by competitors.

Prior to the acquisition, Assetbots is not known to have raised any equity venture capital funding.

The firm Mosyle, on the other hand, is supported by venture capital and has raised USD 410 million in funding, including a USD 196 million round in May 2022. Among the investors are Album Venture Partners, StepStone Group LP, Elephant Partners LP, and Insight Partners LP.
