Teradata, a name representing connected multi-cloud data platform for enterprise analytics, has enhanced Teradata Vantage on Google Cloud.
The launch of the new platform will allow users to modernize their data analytics ecosystem by migrating their workloads and capabilities into Google Cloud. It will enable users to switch to Teradata Vantage while using Google Cloud tools and services.
Teradata brings a multi-cloud data platform for customers by enabling rich analytics, real-time data intelligence, connection to familiar business intelligence, artificial intelligence, and machine learning services. All of these are needed for building and operating new applications.

At Teradata, we offer data freedom to our customers so they can use Vantage to enable the apps and services they are building with their favorite Google Cloud capabilities in their DevOps workflows,” said Barry Russell, Senior Vice President of Business Development and General Manager of Cloud at Teradata, in a statement.

Teradata Vantage includes first-party services integration with Dataflow, a stream or batch of data processing service. It increases the exchange rate of information and integration of Vantage across all the other services being offered by Google Cloud Services that include:

The company’s new release also includes Teradata QueryGrid and Dataproc. They allow customers to run queries on data stored in Google Cloud Storage through Google Cloud Dataproc and Google BigQuery via Starburst Enterprise Presto.
Teradata offers a Consumption Pricing option wherein it only adds cost in the return of value and not otherwise. It asks only to pay for compute resources consumed for successful queries plus storage. Using this model, the businesses achieve a risk-free option for experimenting with view analytics as they do not have to pay for what they did not use.
