Cisco Systems Inc., Microsoft Corp., and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. introduced new meeting room solutions to improve hybrid meeting collaboration experiences.
With integrated video collaboration solutions for the Cisco Room Series, the new solutions were unveiled at the Integrated Systems Europe conference in Barcelona, Spain. Their goal is to facilitate seamless meetings for everyone. The RoomOS hybrid work platform, which powers the Cisco Room Series smart videoconferencing system, is designed to maximize native Webex experience while facilitating easy third-party meeting joining.
The new solutions come with Samsung’s 105-inch Smart Signage, which has a 21:9 aspect ratio and 5k resolution, or Samsung’s 4k Smart Signage panels. Front Row is an inclusive content arrangement for Microsoft Teams Rooms. In this context, “inclusive” refers to developing and applying collaborative solutions that provide equitable access and involvement for every person, irrespective of their location, capabilities, or other characteristics.
According to Cisco, at least one remote participant participates in 98% of meetings these days. However, less than 15% of the 87 million conference rooms have videoconferencing capabilities. Because of this, meetings have to be more engaging than at home if employers want to entice workers to return to the office.
Jeetu Patel, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Security and Collaboration at Cisco, said, “In today’s era of hybrid work, it is essential that workspaces are reimagined to enable great collaboration. This means outfitting conference rooms with intelligent video systems designed to bring immersive collaboration experiences to all participants, regardless of their location.”
Participants in meetings may collaborate seamlessly and virtually due to the integration of Samsung’s Smart Signage displays, Cisco’s RoomOS-powered collaboration appliances, and Microsoft Teams Rooms’ Front Row arrangement. Cisco claims that the partnership sets a new benchmark for completely scalable, controllable, and secure flagship meeting space solutions.
Immersion views are one of the partnership’s benefits; Samsung’s 5K and 4K UHD displays offer vivid colors and ultra-slim designs for lifelike, immersive experiences in hybrid meetings. Integrating powerful camera, audio, and voice intelligence capabilities on Cisco devices and in Microsoft Teams Rooms enables customers to enjoy advanced, AI-powered communication.
Due to the alliance, IT managers can now get a fully managed solution in the Microsoft Teams Admin Centre, along with meeting room analytics with Cisco Control Hub. According to the companies, the alliance also guarantees better scalability, which is made possible by integrating specially designed devices, improved software experiences, and extensive management capabilities, enabling the large-scale delivery of hybrid work.
